We were just getting ready to leave for Gymnastics and Livia said..... "mom don't you want to get a picture of me? Im all ready for class and I look really cute!"

Mya's 7th Birthday Party

For Mya's birthday we took her to the movies to see Space Chimps and she got to invite a friend (Charlotte).  She also wanted to have a big friend party at Pump It Up.  We had quite the turnout, and everyone had a blast... even the big kids (grown-ups).  Mya was especially excited that her Grammy was able to come for her birthday.

Mya is such a special child.  Heavenly Father knew to send her to us first.  She is always so kind and sweet to her sisters, and we are very thankful to have her in our family.  Happy Birthday my sweet Mya!  We love you so much!

It was so hard for me to get Mya to stand still for a picture. I feel pretty lucky I got this one.

Celine and Brynn... you'll never find one without the other.  They are stuck together like glue.

I am absolutely obsessed with this show. I can watch it over and over again and not get bored. It's such a great summer show!! I have my opinion on who should be kicked off.  

Memorial Day

Chairs...check.  

Food...check.  

Blankets...check.  

Friends...priceless. 

Ok, so I'm not a commercial writer.  Here are some pictures from our fun Memorial Day evening with friends at the neighborhood Southern Highlands Park.  The food was decent, entertainment was good, and the fireworks were entertaining (the kids loved them...especially Mason!), but the best part was running and rolling down the hill when the crowd left.  We were totally entertained for a good hour after the fireworks.

Happy Birthday Julie

For her birthday, our beloved and adventurous friend Julie Stott requested that we all get together and go to Pole Position to race go-carts.  For most of us this was to be a fun night out with our spouses and close friends, which it was, but I could not have been prepared for what would happen to all of us once we got those race helmets on....

One of the things we all love about Julie is her competitive spirit.  She is fiercely competitive (while at the same time maintaining her calm and sweet demeanor).  Knowing this we should have been prepared for what we were getting in to, but I had no idea what would happen to me once I felt the POWER of the steering wheel.  It was as if we were all transformed into the NASCAR versions of our more "reserved" selves!  We were swerving, putting each other in the rails, and Nicole almost completely flipped her car (after getting cut off by, well, somebody else).  I thought they were going to kick us out for sure!

Anyway, after all was said and done, we had a fantastic time.  Considering it was her birthday, we decided it would only be appropriate to let Julie, and her husband Ryan, both win their races.  So go on an hold up those #1 fingers you too.  You deserve it!  We love ya both, and you are #1 in our books!!
